Maxwell Brooks

Attorney Maxwell Brooks joined Atlas Law Center in June 2025. He earned his Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his undergraduate degree in English Literature from Illinois Wesleyan University. Max brings several years of experience practicing law in Florida and Illinois, with a background as a corporate in-house attorney handling contracts, drafting, family law, employment matters, business litigation, and administrative law.
At Atlas Law Center, Max represents individuals under various consumer protection statutes, including the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and other related state law statutes. His diverse experience allows him to provide clients with knowledgeable guidance and practical legal solutions in complex consumer matters.
Max’s professional journey includes leadership and compliance roles, most recently as Brand Protection (Compliance) Manager and Staff Attorney at CHHJ Franchising, L.L.C., where he mentored and directed the Brand Protection team, conducted franchise partner investigations, provided counsel on franchise and employment policies, drafted and negotiated contracts, and managed regulatory submissions. Earlier, Max served as a Law Clerk for Catherine W. Real P.A., focusing on family law matters, and at the Illinois Attorney General’s Worker’s Compensation Division, gaining valuable trial preparation and administrative law experience.
With a strong foundation in both corporate and litigation practice, Max leverages his expertise to advocate effectively for consumers and support Atlas Law Center’s mission of protecting individual rights.
